25/4/2014 - Email from QQ - Account sold to BCW/Gothia Group

Just an update on this - had a few emails from Gothia on a special 'online offer'. Had a little look and it was nothing more than an information fishing exercise (as had to put in a LOT of personal information), so not that stupid.

I also had a NoA - I'm going to wait until the first serious letter than send an account in dispute letter, by the fact that QQ have done nothing to address my complaint from more than a year ago. Looking forward to some fun with this lot!

Looks like I'm going to get a monthly letter off Firstsource then! I'm still not tempted by their F&F offer if I call them. They can provide a postal address that is not in India first!

25/4/2014 - Email from QQ - Account sold to BCW/Gothia Group
Well after a year of having an email from QQ approx every 3 days today I get an email stating that they have sold the account (and all legal rights and duties), to BCW (Gothia). So I expect I will get a nice letter from Buchanan Clark and Wells, Mercers, or Red in the near future. Looking forward to taking them to task on this one as QQ have done pretty much everything incorrectly (including the NoA)!

Thanks SW. It was promising when all BH could provide was an application form with no prescribed terms. They've gone and flogged it off to Cabot who are now having difficulty in even providing that, so I expect it'll do the DCA merry-go-round for a while yet

So letter from Cabot arrives today. They admit they cannot provide an agreement therefore account is currently UE and on hold until they can obtain the information from the O.C.

They recommend however that I contact them asap to set up a payment arrangement.

Hmmmmm I think I will be ignoring that recommendation!

Well I now know what the text from MKKR was regarding. They have sent me a threat-o-gram relating to a Barclaycard account. Now I do not ever recall having a Barclaycard so first response is going to be the 'Prove It' letter.

Hmmm text from MKRR on my work mobile today. So one of the scumbags who stated that they had "removed my phone number from their systems" (and no doubt I'll find out which when the first letter hits the doormat) has passed this number on to MKRR.

Not bothering me as I can block numbers on my phone so MKRR now join the bar stewards list!

Another offer from Firstsource. I'm not sure how they expect me to respond to this in writing as the postal address they provide is in India! The fact they almost force people to phone I do wonder would make them fall foul of the disabilities act as those with a hearing impairment would not be able to communicate with them, and they give no alternative.

Final response received yesterday from 1st Credit. It says that it is not a contradiction to state that they will remove all my phone numbers from their systems, yet reserve the right to telephone me, despite the fact I have asked them not to.

It also says that they adhere to OFT guidelines at all times, although they have done nothing to actually address the evidence I produced to prove they have.

They still, however, have yet to produce a compliant CCA so the account is on hold until such time they do, at which point they will expect payment in full.

Ha! Well as IF couldn't find the agreement 2 years ago it will be interesting to see what they cobble together.

3/9/2012 - Letter from Wescot introducing themselves

6/10/2012 - Letter from Wescot that they have established I live at my address and they may take further collection activity
24/10/2012 - Letter from Nelson Guest & Partners Solicitors
29/10/2012 - CCA Request sent to Wescot
1/12/2012 - CCA response from Wescot
3/12/2012 - CCA sent to Niddy

Word back from Niddy is no prescribed terms so currently:

25/4/2013 - Letter from Mackenzie Hall - account on hold for 40 days
10/5/2013 - Letter from Mackenzie Hall (I assume), containing exactly the same as had been sent before but this time with a statement of account
5/8/2013 - NoA from Black Horse that account has been sold to Cabot
5/8/2013 - Introductory letter from Cabot (in same letter as NoA letter!)

    24/2/2014 - Threat-o-gram from Cabot

Well nothing from Cabot for a while then get a standard threat-o-gram saying its important I call them blah blah otherwise they will have to consider taking my account to the next stage of collections.

I'm going to send them the SWID letter again, since they ignored it the last time. 1 letter every 6 months is more than helping me get to SB!
