    Re: The SaltnVinegar UE Diary

Well here I am - 5 years ago, end of September 2010 was when I stopped paying all of my creditors and (for some), entered into a self managed DMP, while some others played silly buggers, refused to accept offers, which led me down the UE route.

Without wanting to bring about the 'evil eye', for those creditors who did not accept my DMP I am now in my final year of getting to the SB finish line.

I know the last 12 months can bring about a flurry of activity, and even the possibility of a claim as they realize it is last chance saloon of getting their money back, however the ones playing silly buggers have not been able to produce an agreement either so

For those creditors I entered into a DMP on, I stopped that in 2012, so have a little longer to go, but am 2/3rds of the way through so not much longer now........

Well some possible good news on the account below

1st Credit have given up and assigned the account back to Bank of Scotland. As I have a letter stating they cannot find a credit agreement, good luck to the next bunch of bottom feeders this gets assigned to.

Well some good news today - another Lowells account bites the dust! A three pronged attack based around unlawful charges and Shop Direct breaches of the old OFT664 and CONC guidelines has caused Lowell to back down. On to the other ones....

Monthly update and not much to report. Only letter I've had is from Lowells that they are still investigating my complaint, too much information to gather in 40 days timeframe blah blah, I can now refer my complaint to the FOS blah blah

I suspect that Lowells may be concerned my record keeping is a hell of a lot better than Shop Directs - I doubt very much SD have kept any copies of the letters sent to them, so

    Hi All

    Just a monthly update.

    1) Challenging Lowell on Shop Direct accounts that charges applied were unlawful. Complaint still being investigated and they're now getting close to the 40 day limit to provide a response

    2) Heard nothing from MKDP. They are in breach of my CCA request as they cannot argue that they have sent me a 'true' copy but are refusing to admit that they have anything to answer.

    3) Had an email from Red Castle regards the Quickquid account but it is only an annual statement (which also has different amounts in different sections for the balance so looks like some creative accounting at work.

    Fingers crossed things stay quiet

For many of my accounts I'm at year 3 or 4 of no payments, and for some others I'm in the home straight and in the final year. I expect the harassment to restart as I get nearer to SB but all been good recently!

    Re: The SaltnVinegar UE Diary

    Hi All

Not much to report, things have been very quiet. First off, have been getting some discount offers from Lowells the last few weeks (first 30% then 40%), on the Shop Direct accounts. Have sent them some 'Account Sold while in Dispute' letters, also providing evidence that SD unlawfully added charges to the accounts before they were sold, so that should keep them busy for a while.

Had a letter from MKDP that they would be resuming collections as I hadn't provided evidence that they required. Have written back to them pointing out that the burden of proof is upon them not me, and fobbing me off to the OC is not acceptable. Also reminded them off Pre-Action Protocol directives as they have not adhered to those either, and also reminded them that they could be liable for costs as I have repeatedly asked them for the documentation they would rely on which they have not provided.

Ho hum, long may the silence continue.
