    Re: Miss Muddle's UE Diary

It is not the first she's heard from them, Mrs. D., that was in 2009. However, there has been such a long break in communication that it can be effectively treated as the first time.

I can't quite work out what is going on here. The December 2009 line, "Letter from dlc saying trading as Hillesden Securities and now own Account", suggests that this was assigned in absolute. However, in July of this year the cretins were telling the OP to contact Argos Card Services regarding CCA copy. It is also strange that there should be no contact for two years and then all this silliness. It makes me wonder if Hillesden are unaware of the token payments made to Carter and think this is about to go SB.

Anyway, there is no point speculating. I agree with sending the A/C sold in dispute for now. See what happens next.

    Niddy says.
    2013
June - Letter from company called MDB (asspciate company of dlc who now own this account want to discuss account).
June -Sent Niddy’s letter asking what’s their interest as according to Company’s house they are a Non Trading Company.
July -Letter from dlc in reply to Niddy’s letter to MDB (stating MDB are a trading company)
July - Another letter from MDB stating we have ignored 1st letter (it was redirected to dcl!!!)
July - Sent another Niddy letter to dlc stating a formal complaint stating they are trying to decieve us by saying MDB are a trading company , even although states Non Trading in companys house.
July - Received rely from dlc to our complaint stating MDB are a trading company and are acting agents for dlc and apologise if we thought they were trying to confuse us.
July -Again sent another of Niddy;s great letters to dlc saying MDB DO NOT HAVE A CONSUMERS LICENCE.
August -Received letter from dlc stating once again MDB are a trading company and copy of an entry stating they are trading and new set of T & C and CCA
August -Sent new T & C and CCA and default notice to Niddy for checking
August - Forgot to remember Niddy about me sending CCA, T & C and Default Notice, other more serious things cropped up.
August - Received another letter from MDB stating:
I have been instructed by direct legal & Collections an associated company of Mercantile Data Bureau Ltd to contact you about the above unpaid debt. Your account has been transferred to me due to your continued failure to discharge your current liability. All future contact relating to your account should now be with me.

I would like to give you the opportunity to discuss your account with me before we undertake any action with your account. I will take into consideration your current financial circumstances
and outline the many options available to help resolve this matter.
I urge you to contact me today on 0000000000000 to conclude this matter as quickly as possible.
Know Niddy away just now so can't ask him about CCA...any thoughts.
September- Received letter again from MDB stating account eligable for 50% discount and remaining balance write off and CRA updated.
September - Received letter from MDB stating basically they want paid.....
September - Sent Niddy complied yet, aother great letter for us telling MDB once again they are not licensed and not geting paid.
    Dear Sirs,

    Ref: xxxxxxxx

I write with reference to your letter dated xx/xx/2013 and note the content within.

I must at this point refer you to my last letter, sent to your parent company DLC (copy attached), and request you take note of the content and stop harassing me. I have told you several times before that my husband is extremely ill. You have NO right to visit when I am already communicating with you. If you do visit then you will ultimately be responsible for anything that may occur - you have no need to visit me. If you write, I will reply to you like I have with ALL letters to date. The OFT agree with my stance, and thus my formal response to your letter is quite simply, get lost!

You are not licenced to conduct this business and a report has now been sent to the OFT regards your blatant abuse of process and licensable activity.

You may now treat this as a formal complaint. Do not visit me at my home address, never. If you do then there will be serious consequences for the person visiting as well as swift legal action against you.

Finally, may I refer you to the main context of Arkell v Pressdram. Please do familiarise yourself with it, as that is the response you will get if you write to me again.

    Yours faithfully,

Then attach a copy of this with it -->

October - Received reply from above tletter we sent to MDB, the reply came from dlc stating they shall investigate my complaint and thheir client is Hillesdens Securities. Again this letter has been intercepted by dlc..Getting really confusing now. Letters coming from all angles MDB, dlc but stating its Hillesden Securities that owns it.

    2014
    March -
Never ever received a reply to my complaint in October regarding MDB and DLC
March - Received letter from dlc requesting I complete a direct debit mandate for low monthly payments or pay 75% with balance written off. This has only got till May 2014 to be SB so think they are panicing. (Niddy says ignore)

    Hi Niddy

Hello passed on to Mr M, he sends his good tidings to you with the upmost respect, he says.

It was so amazing that he managed to get through our Daughter's Wedding Day in September, we all thought right up until the night before that he was not going to be able enough to be there.

He coped marvellously on the day, put a lot of strain on him but he coped very well, determination came to mind, but down with a huge bang the day after.

Hope you had great Birthday, you deserve it.... did you find the time to celebrate..

    Take care

Thank you so much for all your lovely replies, you are all such special people on this forum, never too busy to let others know you care.

Hi Elsa not been on to much as Mr M been not very good, thought things were picking up for a while, then everything mentakky just deteriorated again...he is also going in for more surgery on his gallbladder (only waited 2 years for them to decided, wasn't till we asked for 2nd opinion) this month, however never give up hope...

Its all you lovely special people on here that helps us cope, said it all before but if you hadn't have guided us at the beginning of this year I hate to imagine where we would have been now.

Anyway all quiet on the western front just now, hopefully haven't spoken too soon.

Have you heard from HBOS recently....

and to everyone, enjoy your day.

    Heyyy you!

Lovely to hear from you, although I know how much you have on your plate dealing with Hubby's illness.
Glad at least that it's fairly quiet on the DCA front, hope it stays so and that hubby starts to improve soon.

    Hugs,

Thanks for letting us know MM.

That's the good thing about this forum, it helps to take away the worry of debt so that we can concentrate on what's truly important in life.

Best wishes to you and Mr M

Peeps, Still around, not posted for ages, thought I put wee update on....

No sign of anything (don't want to speak to soon) from HBOS since Niddy kicked 1st Credit2s ass....few wee niggly letters from a few of the others but have just ignored up till now.

Hubby still very unwell so been concentrating on him being in and out of hospital, however the fact is because Niddy worked a miracle and got HBOS off our backs it has made it easier for me to look after Mr Muddled, without Niddys help god knows where we would be now...I hate to even imagine that.

    Will keep you all posted.....
