    Thank you FP.

    Hi Hells Bells

FP is correct that bank charges are more difficult to reclaim, but your friend can still give it a go.

Does your friend have all the statements?

If not then as usual, she could send a SAR and as soon as the info arrives back, she can see what she has been charged/overcharged and take it from there.

If your friend is in hardship, the chances may be higher for success.

You're entitled to reclaim the difference between the suggested OFT limit of £12 and the actual £20/£25 fee usually charged plus statutory interest of 8%.....

OR if they were excessive and above and beyond the suggested guidelines by the OFT.

So in theory £40 charges a day could be reduced to £12 per day or even as one monthly charge of say £12.

It depends on type of account etc really )
