    DCA tricked me into signing

    I've just done something really silly. I'm normally fastidious about not signing any letters to DCAs as sensibly advised by Niddy. But the DCA sent me a letter by Recorded Delivery and I signed the postman's handheld digital pad thingy Minutes later my signature is displayed on the Royal Mail website for the DCA to download, print out, copy, trace whatever they want. Will I never learn

    Moral of the story is sign with a cross or a blob next time

    eek! it's so easily done though, i wouldn't have thought twice about signing for a letter! it's a useful warning for other people though x

      At least my signature appears upside down and not exactly a great likeness to the real deal on the Royal Mail website. So if it does appear like that on any future DCA documents I'll be able to prove where they got it from

      I've printed out a copy since Royal Mail only keep the info live on their website for 12 months and I'm in this debt malarkey for the long hall

        i can't sign properly on those machines either! good thinking keeping a print out eh!

          Yeah! They come out like incy-wincy has crawled across the screen of those little boxes on the machine ones but you sign a barcoded piece of paper for the letters so I would be watchful. Its my completely distrustful nature when it comes to the parasites!!

            You don't have to sign your name on them you can put a squiggle.

                  Yes you know score should it ever land on a Judges desk lol. so save, back up to another drive, save most important.

                    Yea, why don't you sign things "Niddy" - that'll totally screw em up if they try and enforce things with that as a signature

                    However lesson learned is never sign for anything using your normal siggy, just write your name or do a squiggle lines kinda thing

                        No lol - why on earth would I even try? Only Martin Lewis tries such things, no....

                          Thanks for the thumbs up Plan B. I was wise to them trying to getting you to sign for recorded delivery when I was out, and never went to collect it, but never thought about this. Definitely squiggles from now on.

                            Oh Niddy please don't misunderstand me I wasn't suggesting any opportunity for you to make money out of the "Niddy" label - I was hoping for acceptance of the "Niddy" brand label in the same way that "CAB" makes creditors sit up and think twice before crushing debtors. It was a tomorrow thought that's all
