Aqua - the way to your credit file?

    Aqua - the way to your credit file?



    Received a "apply today * apply today * apply today * apply today* apply today* headed letter from Aqua stating i had been pre-approved for a card.

    Before i gave it to the hamster, something caught my eye half way down:

    "Use our Aqua Credit Checker - worth up to £80 per year - giving you unlimited access to your credit report with personalised hints and tips".

    I know AAD advice is not to check credit files as it makes creditors aware you are up and well - but does anyone know if this would provide access without revealing you are looking at it (my thinking it would show Aqua and not individual on the records)?

    Just a thought

    Edit: Just found the credit report link to Noddle and see all they are actually doing is referring you to Noddle.

    When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

        Aqua are very good at offering incentives to get you to sign up.

        When I signed up it was for a 3% cash back deal which was slashed to 0.5% soon after.

        They are ok if you pay it off every month but if you don't/can't, I am sure there are much better deals out there.

        Their credit limits are also very low generally.
