I'm trying to help out a friend who is in receipt of just a state pension but has several savings accounts.
As far as I can see her income is below the threshold of 15,600 but has been paying tax on her savings schemes with her bank.
She states she told the Bank some years...

I'm trying to find out if the making of council tax payments over a period of 12 months instead of 10 is still available only at the LA's discretion.
i thought legislation had changed and that it was now the council tax payer that could demand this right?

Have requested CCAs from all.
O/D - response back stating "you have asked us to pay into a product we do not manage" - this is where nominal payments for the a/c have been sent monthly...

Basically, if you receive a PPI refund which includes Interest, then that interest should be taxed.

Just had a interesting little piece if information about PPI refunds, you may all know this but I was unaware.
It appears that you should declare the additional interest on the compensation at 8% that is paid on top of the refund of payments and interest to HMRC.
It doesn't...
