i had payment protection insurance on my mortagage from 1999 - 2002
after seeing di30 claiming from and old lloyds loan from the 90's i
decieded to have a go as i had the certificate so knew the account number.

after a few letters...

Got a letter today from shopacheck who are part of Welcome Finance. They said they have lost 2 IT backups of cutomer data including name,address,DOB, telephone number and email address of customers.

They were raised as missing 4 weeks ago and...

Almost 6 years ago I made some without prejudice payments to a creditor who was harassing me, at that time I was aware of the statute of limitation.
Therefore, if I had not made the without prejudice payments, the debt would be statute barred.
