Hi all, daughter is having a slight problem with our boss about pay slips.
we work for a local taxi firm that is contracted by local council to take children to and from school, they have to bid for the work,
we are paid in cash each week but don't get paid if off, ill or holidays, so are only paid term time.
10 months ago daughter and her driver were involved in a head on crash, bus written off, Daughter off work for a few weeks, the other driver agreed he was at fault, claim was put in for loss of earnings buy daughter,
her solicitor said all was going through as the insurance company had accepted the driver of the other car was at fault.
3 months ago solicitor emailed to say insurers wanted proof of loss of earnings, boss sent letter stating the amount that daughter had lost, just before christmas daughter emailed to find out what was going on as heard nothing, they said the insurers wouldn't except the letter and required payslips, she explained that we don't get payslips, so couldn't send any, solicitor said they had tried to contact the company we work for but no one would return their calls.
we told the boss and he said he would look into it for her,
today she gets an email from the solicitor saying that if they don't get the payslips then the claim would be dropped as the insurers would not pay out and they had tried to contact our boss.
boss says no one has contacted them, or tried to and he told them in the letter he sent them last year that we don't get payslips.
she has asked him to get on to the solicitor on monday and sort it out.
should we get a payslip? also should we get a P60 every year (as we don't)
