I'm looking for a template for my business

We are applying for council tax benefit but they need a breakdown of the business expenses , we do our own accounts to save money , the council said no problem but they need a breakdown of our business what it makes and what is left .
Anyone know where i can find a template as this looks more professional as we do our tax returns online and just keep a record of it , but for the council we don't want it looking shoddy ?

It is a free version of a far more complex accounts program. It only works on Windows, but as I remember you've got that anyway.

I'm now trying to find a Linux based alternative.

I've just installed GnuCash on Linux Mint. I'll be testing that out over the coming days.

I may well test the one I linked to earlier on my Windows system, just for comparison.

There is a Windows version of GnuCash. There is no Linux version of VT Cash Book, but apparently changes made to it last year mean that it will now run on WINE.
