Re: Natwest - can someone help me?

No it's fine. Just send a quick letter normal post with your signature and say you look forward to receiving the info. Then reiterate it was a credit card from X year and the type of card if you recall.

Help them find your data. If they provide it you may be quids in so try your luck

Re: Natwest - can someone help me?

Hi, I have come home to a debt collection letter and don't know what to do....I have not received the information from my SARS letter yet but they have responded to my letter that they took as a complaint saying they don't think they have done anything wrong and I still owe them the money.....what do I do now as I am sure the debt collection agency aren't going to let it drop!

Re: Natwest - can someone help me?

Hi, don't panic, much easier to say than do. I think you need to complain to the ICO information commissioners office about the failure to supply the information.
Perhaps you should send the I am bemused why you are contacting me as this is in dispute letter.

Re: Natwest - can someone help me?

Thanks cymruambyth, is there a template letter, anything I should or shouldn't say? Am I sending the letter to the debt collectors or Natwest? Sorry I am getting myself in a bit of a state about this now and don't know what to do for the best - tempted today to call them but thought I would hold off until I heard something from someone on here.

Re: Natwest - can someone help me?

Do not call them! Never speak on the phone as they can badger you and there is no evidence to anything they may have agreed to or they say that you have agreed to!
i will post a link later.

Re: Natwest - can someone help me?

Hi sorry to bother you, I am getting a bit nervous that I have had this letter for a couple of days now and haven't responded, I would be grateful for some guidance on who I write to and if there is anything I specifically should or shouldn't say...wouldn't want to make this any worse! Thank you

Can you just spell out what's going on? Don't panic. You're fine. Just chill. No rush.

                        Thanks.

As you have not received any information, follow this link and it will tell you how to complain
                          http://www.ico.org.uk/complaints/getting/complain

I think you should also send this request to the bank if you have not received any CCA from them.
                          http://www.all-about-debt.co.uk/old/index.php/template-letters/unenforceability/s1-starting-out/149-bank-accounts-cca-request-part-1

Finally I would ask Niddy for a letter that covers your situation, the sold in dispute letters are designed for accounts where they have failed to supply a CCA.

                                Hi Cookie,

Don't worry. Their default position is to say they have done nothing wrong so pay up.

Just wait until they contact you again, assuming that the letter just states what you have said above.
