I think I'm right in thinking that was our last proper summer. You remember the one with endless days of sun,warmth & worry over having to collect water from a standpipe at the bottom of the road!

Was it really only six weeks, seemed to go on forever.
I was but still a child myself though clearly remember the day the rain finally came but even that felt warm as we danced in the garden!
