      Hi Westham

Yes this is almost always the best approach. Remember your end goal is to get your debts to become statute barred - this takes tiiiiiiiiiiime

I know its difficult as we all want to draw a line under things, but you need to do everything you can to draw things out, which means not jumping at every letter you receive and being harassed into a response which later down the line could cause you problems.

If you're concerned about any communication you receive, update your diary, and someone will help out. The site team will know what letters to take seriously, and what are autogenerated threat-o-grams.

Remember each day gone is one day closer to achieving your goal, you're playing the long game.

How sweet of them As SnV said, just file it away (after you've dated it and stapled the envelope to it)

Don't know or care, because as far as I am concerned they need whoever composed them do do a few hundred more so they last all the way to SB dates

                    Hi Westham1,

I'm in the same boat -- Cabot have bought my Mint card in the past two weeks ..! We'll see how things progress (or hopefully grind to a halt!)

                      Hi Pip,
They've just rung my mobile - that's the 2nd time today, even though when I answered this morning Itold them it wasn't my number.

Perhaps they thought you may have changed your number to that one by tonight

You're actually better off answering the first call, and then informing them that you will not discuss the matter any further on the telephone, and that any future correspondence should be placed in writing.

When they ignore that (which they will), you can send them a telephone harassment letter, and then keep a record of the phone calls.

What you then do is paint them as the aggresive debt collector

You might be right there - however it might also encourage them to write again more frequently.
I'll continue to ignore their calls for now.
