Re: FiscalFool's UE Diary - and General Journal!

Tee hee ... mine was a tongue in cheek comment.

Signature advice well received, but was after I'd followed the "CCA Request" guidelines.

I've got to get the post office to send it recorded, so might as well get them to do the postal orders.

Polite request ... as the site evolves, could we change the CCA Request post to recommend postal orders. To save others having similar issues.

Point to note! when you send the postal orders make sure YOU STAPLE THEM TO THE LETTER!!!!!!!!!!! I made that mistake - I got someone else to go to the post office for me and and to pop the PO in the envelope with the letter. Halifax recevied theirs OK but Mint returned everything to me saying that I had NOT included the £1 payment, so I just checked the envelope and HEY PRESTO there it was!!

so i had to resend it stapled/stuck/big yellow arrow... - well not quite

Its a sad state of affairs when we have to go back to treating them like idiots and actually staple things together isn't it? I mean, who the feck opens a letter and misses a cheque in there - its like DOH - Muppet Central

Bless, a fiver to the elderly untrained can seem like £100 I guess..... although that fiver did get me a bit extra cos I got a pint and a kebab so not bad really, it got me a stella and donna 3some!

Re: FiscalFool's UE Diary - and General Journal!

                        Question for everyone:

Now the CCA's have been sent, I'm guessing they will arrive tomorrow.

Should I expect any of them to call me concerning it? What do I say if they do? "Kindly bugger off and reply in writing to my request!"

Like Mrs D says, they'll probably won't call you because you sent cca requests. They WILL start calling you when you miss payments.

In a couple of weeks or so you'll get a load of letters insisting that what they enclose complies with s78 - that's when the fun begins!!!
