    We need a definitive answer as to whether or not these orders are refundable. There are threads on the Coherent Advice Gone site, and on Martin's Spongiform Encephalopathy, but nothing authoritative or definitive. The Post Office just conveniently omit the most frequently asked question from their FAQ page.

    In any case, the request was made when iQor were a valid equitable assignee of the alleged debt, so I would certainly be arguing that it is now in default. If the original creditor recalls the alleged debt, they will have to comply with the request without a fresh one being made.

      In order to get a refund of a Postal Order, retain the receipt and then after the minimum period you simply report it as lost. As it will not be cashed (cos you have it) they will then cancel it and refund you.... obviously at that point you destroy the postal order you have.

        Dont even think you need to report it as lost. Woman at the post office told me i could simply return it with the receipt and they issue a refund, minus the PO charge though!

          Report lost and you get the PO fee back too though, don't you? (You used to...!)

                  I'm not sure as i disconnected the phone it was ringing all the time and i don't know if it is them or ppi calling .

                  Just to correct this , the letter was from iQor saying they have closed the account and passed it back to the original creditor so maybe these are trying to harrass us now

                    So is this the first contact you have had from this rabble? If so, it rather makes their statement "We previously contacted you regarding this debt and received no response" out to be a lie, doesn't it?

                    If it is the first threat you have received, stick this in with the harassment template -

                        Oh, right. Have they had the A/C sold in dispute letter yet? If not, send it to them with the harassment one. If they have, just send the doorstep harassment template.

                            letter recieved today, all collection activity on this account has been put on hold and they will not seek to enforce payment of this debt until such time as the documentation has been supplied or i am advised otherwise .

                            I decided to scan the letter from Moorcroft to see if you all think this is the normal reply from them .

                            8 pages of a reconstituted

                            It's just about Argos card and tells me about statements and financial and related details

                            example : 8 we will set the credit limit for your account and tell you what it is when we send you your Argos card.

                              Is there something special about the 8th of the month? This lot seem determined to send you a monthly "CCA".

                              If it is just T & Cs it shouldn't take him long to give a verdict. Get this one ready to send -

                                thanks received back from niddy , its just 22 pages of if's and but's no signiture anywhere so he is said it's likely UE.

                                Not sure why they send stuff on the 8th maybe it's there favourite date
