    I have received a letter from capquest stating my account is now being processed for legal action they are suggesting an arrangement to pay ie I pay an amount and they will credit my account to 30% !!!
    Should I post account in dispute letter to them ??

    Have you ever received a cca from Empire Stores? If not, it might be an idea to send Our Templates | Unenforceability Templates | Final Response - Unenforceability (No CCA Received)

    Is the letter you received from Capquest headed Letter Before Action?

    have you not already sent a, Sold in dispute, letter to Crapvest.
    if so I would sent Threat of legal action template letter to them
    you still await your CCA.

    Thanks MrsD, I'm blagging it , they did send a cca, Niddy deemed it enforceable .I'll send letter you suggested and see what they come back with

    It doesn't look as though this one has yet been sold, so you are just dealing with an endless stream of equitable assignees. This current rabble are one of the most useless of all, so I would definitely keep going with your current strategy.

    I agree with Mrs. D, start at the beginning and send this -

    envelope Apex letter asking me to contact them to make arrangements to pay as soon as possible
    August 6th Sent Apex "telephone harassment " letter and "account in dispute", saved a few pennies!!!
    August 9th Received from apex saying they will investigate my complaint

    October 23rd. Received letter from Wescot stating they have been instructed to collect balance to avoid further action I must pay full amount or telephone them

    October 24th. Sent account sold while in depute letter
    Received letter from west cot stating B o S have advised them that they have sent cca numerous times and I have been making payments thus acknowledging the account etc. So wescot believe the dispute has been resolved and would I pay the full balance by return post or contact them to make payment arrangements .
    What would be my next best step ? Thank you

    Thanks for the clarification Flowerpower you are a " fountain of knowledge " really appreciate your swift replies ,your spot on about the red letters this one is almost all red!!! I'll post the letter suggested today .

    Thanks Flowerpower, I really wasn't sure what to send as they haven't mentioned my account being sold to them ,and as for telephone contact that's a BIG no no ,( I'm still a coward !!!)

    Received letter from Wescot regarding this account they have been instructed to collect the outstanding balance,they state to avoid Wescot taking further action i must pay debt in full or contact them by telephone
    Should I ignore and see what they send next? As always any help is much appreciated.

    Scabhunter and flowerpower ,thanks for your words of support and reassurance they do scare me but not as much as they used to and it's down to you good people on this site ,you will never know how grateful I am to you all


    Hi 925pws,I have had those kind of letters as well and yes they do scare you ,I'm glad you're still plodding on you sound a bit like me the first sign of trouble the place to go is on here ,don't know where I would have been had it not been for this site .
