Don't worry, it's easy to stall until SB - they'd struggle to get something in place before the cut-off point. Bear with me....

SB declined but I have never seen evidence of this payment although it was made under our DMP.
What's the next move Niddy?

Dear Sirs,

Ref: xxxxxxxx

I write with reference to your letter dated 4 December 2012 and note the content within.

I suggest you check your records or at the very least send proof of said payment in February 2007 as I can categorically confirm that I know nothing about this alleged account and certainly would not have paid £10 into something I know nothing of.

I look forward to your response with the requested proof.

I got a reply and a statement from December 2006 not 27th Feb 2007 like they claim in the letter in post #120

You can't see the statement very clear but it says.
This statement covers the period of 02 Dec 2006 to 02 Jan 2007

I think you should be sending something back, just to keep them on their toes, if the payment was made 27th feb 07, then you have 4 weeks exactly before SB.

Without going back over this thread, has a CCA request ever been made directly to lowells? If not, that will stall them for a while.

Failing that, you could write back and ask for proof payment was made as the statement only goes up to 2nd Jan 07, and as they are clearly saying they believe you made a payment in feb 07, you still require proof, as they have not provided evidence of this.

That should make them go back to Egg, spend another couple of weeks trying to find a print out of money paid.

Wait for niddy to confirm what you should do though.

This has been going on since 2008.

I have sent CCA's SAR's and asked for proof of the Feb 07 payment only to be sent this Dec 06 statement!

I got a letter from RED today saying they had taken over the account!

Well that might be a good idea, now you can make RED run around for a while!

Hit them with a dispute, they will take a few weeks to come back to you.

Lowells claim a payment was made 27th feb 07 but have only sent me statements up to Dec 06 even after me asking for proof.
Now they passed it over to Red!
