Re: Tech Clerks - General Debt Matters Thread

Another case in Davey Babes big society of the haves saying stuff you lot of have nots.

I have sympathy for the low paid civil servants when you see pensions like that, No wonder the public see public sector pensions as gold plated.

But the simple truth is for the vast majority they are not and will be a top up on the meagre state pension.

The problem as so rightly pointed out is there is no pension pot. All our pensions will be paid for by our children and grandchildren.

All that North Sea Oil riches squandered. Norway put a % away in a sovereign wealth fund to be used for its population.

Our lot used it for idelodgical purposes. Close the industries down pay for domes and stupid policies that are now well gone. Now the riches have gone its the next generation that will be paying.

Sent Scotcall a Denial of Access for the Daughter,

Scotcall interpretation is treating it as a CCA so called request.

you mean the automatic pension scheme? it will only affect companies with staff of more than 250 this april, doesnt kick in for everybody for a few years yet.

What worries me though is its automatic opt in, YOU have to opt out yourself, and every so often (forget how long) your put back on it again UNLESS you opt out yet again.

You pay in to it, the employer does also, when you come to retire, guess what? the government spent it years ago just like the rest.

Id advise everyone to opt out personally.

Much like the opt out scheme when company pension payments into, then when you were 55 about if you are aware you better opt back into the government scheme, they messed around so much over the years and the answer is many people lost out.

                  REGARDING THE JACKSON REFORM|:-

                  Thank you for your email.

I agree that this is a very worrying reform and it is something I have raised with Ministers before.

I will be happy to ask the Justice Secretary questions and I will keep you updated with any response I receive.

                  Yours sincerely,

                  MP

DVLA may be losing documents drivers are sending them (e.g. SORN and V5C driver declaration documents) and then sending out fines because these forms have not been received by the DVLA.I'm keen to speak anyone else who feels they've been affected. Fare Tax Total
                      Adults 1 £258 £247 = £505
                      TOTAL FROM £505

This is why I tried to get a petition to get travel tax reduced, the tax is almost the cost of actual airfare. Fare £258 Tax £247.

                                South West Water:-

Every couple of weeks we keep getting threats from them stating payment plan 3 weeks behind, I pay on a Monday they account from Tuesday so always 3 weeks in arrears, Ring them make notes to whom contacted who /DATE/TIME, same outcome okay you pay Mondays from Pension, pointed out that this is harassment and noted, also I pointed out any arrears stemmed from their end sending new payment book few years ago with the wrong amount on it, Oh I see a time of dropped payments, okay we will now set up a new payment plan that will stop all the letters/telephone calls, you pay xx.xx. (Note:- reduced amount? well see what happens now, by the way arrears are £ 54.00 so from the new payment date next Monday the arrears will be gone in 3 weeks, do they not change their minds when you quote letters and charge books from a few years ago -= LESSON HERE KEEP ALL CORRESPONDENCE FOR A LONG TIME AS YOU WILL NEED THE INFO AT TIMES.
