Good evening all.
I have been receiving letters from H L Solicitors regarding a debt of (wait for it) £23.42 relating to an unpaid T-Mobile bill from some 2 years ago. I sent a couple of "what are you on about" letters and finally they sent a copy of the bill as "proof" that I owe it.
In all honesty, I actually do owe the money as it was the final bill of a contract, I had already cancelled the direct debit and just never bothered to pay it.
Today, I've received a letter saying that they will match any payment I make up to 50% of the balance. Does anyone reckon I should offer to pay £11.71 and get the rest paid by them? Or is there some sort of catch?
I realise I'm being a twat over £23 but what are your opinions?
Many thanks.
