Hi
IF my son was to get an interest free credit and ring up and pay off a loan (so he can save on the interest and reduce his monthly payment) would it be classed as a purchase or balance transfer and would a loan company accept a credit card as payment?
he only took the loan...

Balance transfers when its not the account holder
Evening,
Not sure the title is the best; i was wondering if its permitted for someone other than the original account holder to transfer that balance to their credit card?
i.e Peter has a balance on a 15% card and Paul offers to transfer it to his on his new 0%

Where do you stand when you take out a credit card agreement which gives you a lifetime fixed rate to transfer balances, then maybe a couple of years later increases that rate by fourfold?
