Anglian Water are insane!
Hi,
On 17th July Anglian Water sent me my first bill for this property. The due date was 1st August. On 8th August they wrote to me stating they are now commencing legal action. Copies of both are below:

Anglian Water Default
I'm anticipating bad news on this but just want to check here.
I got my water bill end of February and didn't pay it. I got a red bill stating I'd entered their debt recovery process end of March. It stated "we enter defaults with the CRAs" etc

Water Utility Searches
Do utility companies - water - have the right to search your credit files? Do they have the right to authorise other companies to search your file?
To my knowledge I have never signed any agreement with the water company, and so I have never given my authority for that company to access...

In simple terms, the utility company are taking on responsibility for the section of the sewer from your boundary to the main sewer. (Shared services are a little more complicated).
