    Unenforceable Diary

    Righty ho,

So my ex partner and I consolidated our debts with payplan about 6 years ago - we've been paying off monthly amounts since then. The recent sale of our house has left a small amount of money which we were looking into making settlement offers...this lead to a conversation with...

    Second default by Lloyds

LLoyds registered a default on my account ages ago. In 2008 they changed some terms of the agreement, but didn't issue a new agreement. In 2010 they defaulted again and registered another default with the CRAs. In 2011, thanks to AAD they discontinued on their court claim .
    Am I correct that...

  • Number of financial accounts & defaults?

Just a quick question regarding default entries.
I know that when a debt is sold and the new owners start to report on the cra, the previous default is marked with a default satisfied date and balance £0 and the new owner carries on the reporting under its own name.

    When checking...

  • Debt PAID IN FULL, Equifax still showing it as owing

    Right, I'm fuming now!

In early March, I was in a position to repay an outstanding debt over an overdraft from an account that Barclays had closed. I'm in a better financial position than I was when the account was closed and I thought that paying it off would help improve my...

    Santander 123 card

Our joint account is with Santander and is fine - we have a small savings account attached to it and no overdraft - we have had it for over 9 years. Out of the blue they sent us an email saying did we want a credit card - I resisted for ages but in a slightly drunken state on Good Friday evening I...

    Default Question

    Hi Everyone,

I have a quick question regarding defaults.

I know they last for 6 years but remain on your file for a few weeks after until they disappear.

During those few weeks, are they still visible if a lender were to do a search or are they only visible for...

Checking for CCJs at old address

Is there a way of checking for CCJs, defaults etc at an old address without giving linkage to your current address?

I'm slightly concerned as I've been googling for updates on the Egg/Barclaycard/Marlin situation and have seen threads on other forums saying that these have started appearing...

    Statute Barred --- Or not?

I have a few cards that are due to become statute barred around the middle of this year.

Or at least that's what I thought until a couple of days ago.

    Hence this new thread.

I was advised that the SB clock re-starts at the point of a claim being issued, which...

  • Owner occupier or not ? What difference does it make and how can they check ?

Some credit application forms ask specifically whether you own the property you live in, whether it is mortgaged or not etc. but others ask whether you are a tenant, owner etc. and others simply ask if you are a home owner.

Now I know we all understand that they are really asking whether...
