Starting this month, HMRC are writing to all letting agents and demanding that they hand over details of all landlords and their rental income information.

Agents have 60 days to respond with information, or face an intial £300 fine, and £60 per day until the information has been given....

Can I ask please, the 'inspection every 3 months' rule... when we moved in it was the first home in over 20 years of renting that I had an 'inspection' so it was very hard for me to cope with the fact a stranger wanted to come in to my house....

Interesting thing about this is how many ordinary punters and customers like most of us on here were forced into default by the big banks, who hasn't had their interest rate increased until it squeaked then forced to try to pay the ridiculous...

Not sure about this, but 12 months ago the Co-op adminstered my late mothers estate which inlcuded selling the house she was in.

The house gradually reduced in value until it was flogged off just before being auctioned for the miserly sum of £17k.. and the estate paid out to the benefactors....

I don't like this decision by Experian one little bit. From January they will be reporting rent payment history on your credit file. They're arguing that this will help consumers to build up a good credit history in the same way as people who have a mortgage payment history. They claim this will help...

Just been mulling over my debt issues that are listed in other threads. One of my biggest fears is losing the 2 buy to let flats that I have in my name. The reason for this is because they essentially are not mine. Family had lent me the money to convert a house into 2 flats before...
