Thought this was worth sharing. I bought this online last year with a user licence for 3 computers for £39.99. Its just come up for renewal and I e-mailed to cancel it. Obviously the e-mail went astray and I received an e-mail this morning saying it had been renewed and £39.99 had been debited from my account.

I phoned and cancelled it, but before they cancelled it, they offered me the full package for just £20.00 - a 50% reduction.

If anyone has the same package, when it comes up for renewal, phone 020 7616 5600 and say you want to cancel it and I suspect you'll end up paying £20 instead of £39.99 for it.

    BBoo,

Why pay for any AV when there are some good free ones on the internet ?

      I've never paid for AV.

Occasionally had a subscription come with a new comp, but most of the time I've even taken that off it as was carp anyway.

At the moment both these laptops are running Linux, so even the free stuff is not really needed.

That's why I cancelled it! Last year it came free with a new laptop, but would have been £39.99. All our other computers run virus free with AVG antivirus and Zone Alarm as a firewall. Used them for years and never once had a problem.

To be fair to Norton, its been good - especially the parental controls at times, but we can revert to the free again quite happily.

Thought it worth mentioning though, as no matter how many times you tell some people the free ones are good, some always think you get what you pay for.

You can't stop him from accessing porn - all kids need some "soft" porn otherwise they grow up gay!

Let him watch it from say aged 2, that ought to be enough

            * I am joking by the way!
