Hi all
Just to let you know that if you or anyone you know has a 2007 2l (not 1.9 as unaffected) diesel passat with a BKP engine (tells you on log book the engine type) then if you haven't heard anything from VW I suggest you contact them.
There is an inherent fault with the injectors which are prone to carbon collection causing them to fail which in turn burns out the associated wiring loom. The no2 injector is the favourite to go first but this problem can affect any one of them either one at a time or all at once.
If the car feels like it has a mis-fire whilst driving or trouble starting then please get this checked out because when one goes your car will cut out and not start again potentially leaving the driver stranded. I have heard of an example of this happening whilst the driver was on the motorway so it could be quite a scary situation.
Take care

Just to edit, I think these engines might be in other cars eg seat but I'm not entirely sure. If in doubt check it out.
