    http://uk.news.yahoo.com/15-minute-a...100312925.html

A 15-minute online test has been developed to reveal early signs of Alzheimer's disease.
The free quiz was developed by mental health experts and is aimed at 50 to 70-year-olds who are worried about memory decline.
The interactive test provides an immediate result and advice about lifestyle and diet changes.
Those at risk are given a letter for their GP............

    Re: Cognitive Function Test

Well, despite being "only" 40, I'm always forgetting stuff, so thought I'd run the test.

I'm thankful to say that it says I have a very low chance of developing Alzheimer's, based on the current results.

    Thanks for posting, charity.

      That was hard work!!

At least it showed that I'm at low risk of developing Alzheimer's.

                Interesting.

I wonder if myself, my sisters and brothers will ever be offered to have one?

With my dad was in his 60's when he was diagnosed with this condition it makes me wonder.

I know he is no longer with us, but remember he was asked to draw a basic house at one of his tests with his specialist, and bless him too, the door leading to the house was at the top part of the house, still he did add everything you expect to see.

He also had to do some sums, was ok to start with but as time went on he didn't have a clue, yet he had moments where things were exactly right.

A awful condition to have, let's hope there will be more available treatment, or better treatment I should say to come in the near future.

                  Re: Cognitive Function Test

The topic reminded me of the old joke entitled "Eyesight test: Can you see the frog?"; I'd post it here but (1) it's NSFW and (2) it's a bit rude.

It might also spoil one's appetite.

I knew his dad before that unfortunate incident with the steam roller.
