    Re: Lupus.

Hiya I know that I don't post much and am somewhat a 'lurker' but I thought I'd post here, my best friends daughter has suffered for years, had tests for lupus, arthritis and god knows what else, the poor girl does suffer so, the Daily Mail did an article on her and her diagnosis, have a read it might help, as you say Lupus can be confused with lots of other conditions.

      Re: Lupus.

Thank you Marble for taking the time to past that. As you said Lupus does seem to have many different symptoms for different people. Trying to think positive but certainly have got most of the ones mentioned. Fingers crossed mine are just random complaints that most of us have as we get older.

      Thanks again

Am I right in saying Lupus is also related to kidney disease?
                        I could be mistaken

                            Re: Lupus.

Thanks everyone. It's an auto-immune disease that can attack healthy cells such as kidneys but i think that's just in extreme cases. Biopsy was fine just a couple of stitches in my face. Went off work to have my appendix out and went back with a black eye tho . Got some very funny looks. Results should be here this week. Fingers crossed

                                Re: Lupus.

Hi all, well after at least five years of tests my friends daughter has a proper diagnosis, she has indeed got Lupus.
To those of you who are worried, please keep going, keep nagging the doctors and hopefully you will find out one way or another eventually.
The trouble with Lupus is that indeed it does mimic other conditions so its very hard to diagnose and with Kelly she looks so well too, so no one realises exactly how unwell she really is.
