    Lets just add BOTH firms are part of RBS - now it doesn't seem such a shock does it?

    A bank fiddling paperwork, that's part of parcel of a bankers daily remit

      Never shocked me anyway at all as that is the norm, however one wonders why it took so long for the FSA to investigate and hand down the fine.

      May be this is rife and the FSA are investigating many more similar cases.

        Not surprise either. Last year I helped the boss sort out a claim with Churchill. The Van that hit her car was insured by Direct line.

        Wonder of wonder they did a knock for knock even though her car was stationary uphill on a single track road. They invoked the right to take over and settle the claim leaving her minus no claims and a large portion of the excess. I look forward to telling her about this news tomorrow.
