    A nice reward for his work at the FSA.

    The knighthood may be seen as a controversial decision, as it was Sir Hector who led the organisation accused by MPs of being "asleep at the wheel" in the run up to the collapse of Northern Rock.

      Looks like a 3M golden handshake tosser to me. Just bears out what I have always said, that the FSA is riddled with the old boys network. It's not Independent, not when it's staffed by those who used to work alongside those they are supposed to police.

        Seems you get rewarded for failure, he was also at the healm during the libor rate fixing and money laundering scandals.
