    Update Barclaycard

12/03/12 Letter from MK Rapid Recoveries. "Further to our recent communication regarding transfer of ownership of your balance we have not received your offer of payment"

Well this account was deemed BY Niddy and we have written to Barclaycard accordingly. I have heard nothing until this letter arrived and certainly do not recall a letter saying they had taken ownership of the account.

Ignore or "Debt sold whilst in dispute"???

    Cheers

    Update Arvato

27/02/12 Letter from Arvato following my letter to HL Legal saying account was in serious dispute. They say they acknowledge my complaint but will not accept it. Basically I know I cancelled and they conveniently say I didn't. It's total rubbish because I have done it TWICE now and they never acknowledge cancellation or send a confirmation. They send an e-mail with a link for you to click to complete the cancellation. I've done it twice and they say I haven't!

    Quite simply I ain't paying!!

Well after getting the all clear I was told to expect a lot of infections as my immune system would be weak. Sure enough I contracted an awful chest infection and have spent the last 5 days in bed. When I have completed this I am away to my bed again!

    Update MBNA

22/2/12 Letter from MBNA disagreeing with my last letter to them. I have posted this in the secure section Niddy for your perusal and advice

    Cheers

I'm ignoring the muppets! I wrote to HL Legal saying the account was in serious dispute with 1&1 and I would not be corresponding with them until 1&1 had provided proof of the debt and responded to my queries.

no me thinks he ran the whole BB section IIRC

He actually wrote most the code, as I say I can't remember the exact company but I know it's one of the biggest and he owns rights to the software (but doesn't get paid)

    I dunno!

    Update Nat West Visa

21/02/12 Letter from Shoosmiths and as predicted they have their bad cop hat on. I wrote them asking them to confirm their position in all of this. I said I did not acknowledge the debt but required them to clarify the status of alleged debt. I haven't heard back yet so perhaps this letter crossed in the post with mine?

I guess I now have to make them an offer?

Hit them with everything, your medicals, your financial standing, the attempts to cancel, the lot.
Tell them that their constant harrassment is causing you terrible distress etc and you would ask that they would consider stopping any action against you.

Address it to the Managing Director ( if you can get his/her name, all the better....ring and ask for the name from the switchboard )

Wait until you get a reply, if its what you want, which it probably will be, then send Arvato a copy. Game over.

This has worked for me, and is currently working with t Mobile and Moorcroft !
Thank you Pepe, this is something I have already done. 1&1's so called Customer Service and complaints department are a complete joke and they never reply. I wrote to the MD and I emailed him but I heard nothing from 1&1.

I won't be paying, they can get in line if they want money - trust me there are lots of people in front of them!

    Update Arvato

Here is the latest letter from these muppets! I have scoured the web and it seems this is quite normal for them.

I was going to write to them and say something along the lines of "This alleged debt is in serious dispute with 1&1. I do not acknowledge this debt and until 1&1 reply to my previous letters and can prove this debt is outstanding I will not enter into further correspondence with you."

    What do you guys think?

Also is their signature on the letter legal?

    MJ

PS Sorry for the dodgy scanned copy!

    Update NATWEST BUSINESS OVERDRAFT

04/02/12 A letter from AIC with a settlement offer. "As this account remains unpaid we are reviewing your file to consider if further action is warranted"

They then offer a 50% reduced figure on a balance of £2700 payable in 3 monthly instalments. This sounds great but I don't have £450 spare each month! Come to think of it I don't have £450 per month period!!!!

I got a right spanking by Nat Pest on my personal overdraft so I am loathed to take another one. All advice appreciated.

Niddy - I did upload the default notice a while back so perhaps you could cast your expert eye over it?

    Cheers

    Update Nat West Visa

02/02/12 Letter from Shoosmiths reference my Nat West Visa card. Sadly this has been deemed and so I must pay I am sure they pasted my signature but Niddy says it is a bloody good repro and so it is not worth contesting it.

Should I enter a dialogue about payment after telling them of my medical issues and the lack of a pot to piss in?

It might also have been worthwhile informing Shooshits that, despite repeated requests, the bank has steadfastly refused to provide any documents in response to your lawful request under section 78 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
