Did you ever make an affordability complaint on this Wonga debt?

I'm not saying you should, I just thought I'd ask for a bit more background in case things start to get noisy.

This is the latest information on the situation with Wonga > https://debtcamel.co.uk/wonga-has-st...issuing-loans/

Thanks Di for the info.... I haven't made an affordability complaint yet, but they have gone quiet again now. Maybe i will hold off for as long as possible then make a complaint when they start getting more pushy!
      Thanks again Di

      • nouncements about complaints

The administrators said on 11 September:

the Administrators will assess all complaints during the course of the administration … the Administrators do encourage customers who feel that they are owed some money to contact Wonga… to register their complaint so that the monies that are available to unsecured creditors can be fairly allocated to agreed claimants.

Did you read the article, Wonga complaints being handled so time you think about it may be too late, ????

Thanks Tech Clerk. So should i put a complaint in? The below from Di suggests maybe i shouldn't...? Does it harm the unenforceablity route I am taking?

Yes, that's exactly what I meant.

You should stay quiet if you're going the unenforceable route. Don't do anything which could single you out for attention.

I expect the Administrators are sending out emails to try to gauge what money they may be able to recover in order to pay the unsecured creditors which will include those who have already made a complaint and had it upheld so potentially due a refund.

I asked the question to see whether you had already made a complaint (awaiting a decision/refund), and your answer is that you haven't.

I see no reason for you to respond to those emails.

                    • Hi all

I am back in the payday loan trap, and have decided today to take action... No longer can i pay ridiculous amounts each month to satisfy the bloodsuckers! I have cancelled my CPA to Sunny today, and will do the same to On stride Financial. I will offer them a small amount each month..as I am already fighting 8 creditors, so i cannot take anymore on! Maybe I am being blind but is there anything on the site here regarding Unaffordable lending..? templates etc... Will they freeze interest...? anyone had any experience on payday loans?

                      Thanks

                        Hi all

                        Hope we are all well...

Just a quick one on Wonga. I have just been offered what seems a generous discount, but does anyone know what the plans are with the unpaid debts? or what would they likely do.. sell to debt collectors, legal action, etc...? I am tempted to get rid of this one at that price... to save any aggro later. I already have too many potential fronts to fight Thoughts?

                        Thanks
