Here is a link to the housing section http://forums.all-about-debt.co.uk/f...bt-amp-Housing . It is one of the black tabs just below the search links tab. PlanB is our housing expert and can usually answer any questions.

ok scrub the last part.,.... apparently the deposit scheme return it to me not the agent so therefore can't be used as last months rent...

oh well.. borrow off Mummy time!

    Re: Patch's Diary

I can never find the private renting section... I are blind!

I need to ask if there is a standard end of tenancy letter on here (never rented via an agency before so not sure if I can do the usual "Please take this as our notice to vacate the property on x/x/xx " letter or if it is more complex.

Also... how naughty is it to not pay the last months rent and let them just keep the deposit? Or is that uber bad naughty when it comes to my new (private) landlord putting my deposit in the scheme? Never done it before but we are brassik and I could do with using the last months rent to put as a deposit on the new house.

Don't forget you also have the RM post forwarding service which is good for up to 12 months so you can set this up, still get the mail to make sure nothing serious is being sent, but still choose to ignore those you want to.

As Niddy said, once you change things like driving license, utilities etc the CRA's will get updated. Lowells had my new address within 2 months when we moved, but some aren't so quick on the update. AMEX still send stuff to my old address 10 months later!

    Hiya

Whilst I'm prone to agree with hubby; you need to realise that if you've no assets who cares if you have a ccj? That said its not easy to hide now as DVLA etc all pass your details around.

No harm moving and seeing what happens - is there?

    Re: Patch's Diary

urghhhhh..... Haven't been on as I am so stressed I am about to crack..

Landlords of 7 years have decided to get the house valued ready to sell up. So we have been frantically trying to find a house to move in to as I can not live with the will they / wont they sell yet scenario.

    QUESTION:
What do I do about the hounds? Do I send forwarding address to them all or let them find us?

Hubby said just leave them but I am worried they will serve whatsits on us eventually if I am not getting warning via their letters of what they are doing... so far they are all sending letters saying "Despite us contacting...... easy ways to pay.... or we may take this further"

Hoping to be moved in to new house on June 1st ... so looking forward to being able to sleep without stressing! I was awake from 2:30am today worrying about stuff that really didn't need to be worried about at that time!

Good news - long may it continue! (The lack of letters, the G&T, but perhaps not the stabbing )
