Hi Niddy. Hope all is well with you and yours. Its been nice and quiet here since we sent the above.

However this morning a letter arrived from Lowells, 5 days for a full/part payment or proposed payment plan or they will have no alternative but to instruct their solicitors to look at beginning legal action against me, alternatively they may arrange an agent to visit, to negotiate a settlement.
Just want to check if the advice is the same - Ignore?? or something else?

Letter from Red this morning, basically the same as previous with a few added threats of CCJ's, bailiffs.

Letter from Lowells this morning in reply to doorstep visit letter.
In short they state they have removed telephone numbers, all future correspondence will be in writing and they confirm no doorstep collectors will call without prior permission - (the dog will be gutted)
They also mention according to their records, they sent me a copy of credit agreement so would I kindly contact them to discuss repayment proposals, if they have had no contact from me within 30 days, the account will be removed from holding and collection activity will resume.

Its been a long 30 days..not that I'm complaining. Letter from Lowells arrived yesterday stating they had informed me they would be obtaining information from Credit Reference Agency, which they have now done, after assessing this information they will be sending the account to either an agent who will arrange a time to visit to discuss payment face to face, the court where they will proceed with court action or a process server who will me with a petition for insolvency dependent on if my account meets insolvency criteria.
I now have 21 days from the 28th November to pay or set up a payment plan or action will commence.
In an attempt to demonstrate how flexible they are willing to be, they kindly offer a repayment plan of £15 a month (which is only 50 p a day) Sounds like part of my sales pitch from many moons ago.

Do I need to fire off another doorstep letter, Ignore, Pay up or something else?

A massive Thank you again to everyone who has helped me over the last few months, I really appreciate it, not being terrified to answer the phone or dreading the postman in itself has made a world of difference.

If you want to keep blagging it, just ignore andif they do start court action then you can make an arrangement to pay.

If you can afford it, you might want to pay the £15 a month.


It's up to you what you want to do.
