  • Good afternoon all.

I am currently about four months away from SB, having last paid StepChange in March 2020. Things have been relatively
quiet recently, just the odd letter with various discount offers as is the norm although I've been expecting a flurry of contact as SB approaches.

A few days ago however I received a text, mentioning my name, suggesting I log on to a 'myresolvecall' website which has 'important information' for me. There are no details of alleged debts or creditors, no reference numbers and no threats to come knocking. There have also been no letters from anyone threatening to send anybody round.

I'm just wondering if anybody has experienced such a low-key fly-by from Resolvecall, or has any feeling whether it's genuine or a scam? I could be persuaded either way, tbh, but I'm not about to try & log on either way.

    • I had one like that a few years ago, I don't remember all the details but it was genuine and I got a letter in the post from them some time later saying they had been passed my account from Intrum and we planning to visit me at home.

Thanks Sparkles. I'm away from home at the moment but No.2 daughter has just told me that there's a letter waiting for me from 'Resolve-something', so I suspect it's an escalation. I'll found out at the weekend & report back.

          Hi there,

Had a couple of my debts sent to Resolvecall several months back (I'm intentially not saying which ones) and they sent emails every few weeks with settlement offers of 30-70% which I just ignored.

Don't recall them ever threatening to turn up on the doorstep, though they did for one of the debts several years back, just left a card as we weren't in at the time.

Anyhow, they've now been passed back to the owner (a DCA) who are warning of further recovery action, albeit none of it would involve legal action as they know they don't have all the paperwork.

As for my diary, am about 18 months away from SB and things are nice and quiet on the whole.

I doubt that will continue once we head into the home straight, but let's see.

          Will update as and when.

          Happy Xmas and NY.

PS: While this site is far quieter than in its heyday, I still check in daily for any updates. I imagine quite a few other users are lurking too.

Which is exactly what it turned out to be. 'We have been passed your account for collection' etc. with a 40% discount offer.

              Duly ignored.
