Sorry Never in Doubt but I had already posted the letter that Scabhunter had kindly drafted for me ,( I would have opted for the more polite one !!!!) thanks for your input much appreciated and did make me chuckle .

I'd just send something like this -
“Dear Sirs,
I am in receipt of your letter dated xth January 2013, in which you state that you “require £1 payment to process my request for copy of agreement”. Note that I have made no such request.
It should be obvious from the content of my previous letter that a formal request pursuant to Section 78 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 has already been forwarded to the original creditor, and has been received and acknowledged. I therefore have no reason to submit another one.
Yours Faithfully”
I would just leave it at that. Let them go back to your previous letter and actually try to read it this time. They will no doubt come back with “OK pal, if you've already made a request and received the documents, give us your money”, to which we'll reply “Sorry, guv, not enforceable”.
What you would want to send, but shouldn't, is this -
“If 'RTFM' means 'read the manual', then 'RTFL' must mean 'read the letter'.

Thanks Scabhunter, it is the first i've heard from them regarding this account will send letter off today ,you did suggest this in a previous post but I think I've got a touch of OCD just wanted to make sure!!

Received letter from Wescot acting for Sainsbury they are looking for the full balance I have to either pay the balance or contact them on given phone number. Will I now send letter in dispute?
