  • Studio/Express Gifts Default

I have a default of £122 on my credit file from 2010. In 2012 I rang Studio and asked them if they would remove the default in exchange for full payment. They agreed. I have checked my credit report this week and this has not been done. They are now denying everything or more to the point moving me round people like a parcel at a kids birthday party. Any advice? Thanks

    Re: Studio/Express Gifts Default

Please tell me you never did this over the phone? Of course they'll deny ever agreeing to it. If you have it in writing, no problem - but I suspect you fell for the oldest one in the book sadly.

DCA's are trained to catch mugs consumers out by lying to them and agreeing to all sorts, so long as they get paid they'll agree to sell their own granny.

Sadly, unless you complain formally in writing and demand that they listen to the call (and provide time and date of call) then there isn't much you can do.

        Hi there

        Cheers Niddy.

        Sorry to have missed this.

As its been sometime, have there been any further developments with this please?

Niddy is correct, its always best to raise matters up in writing, so if you have not done this yet, I would do so and ask them for any proof of them removing the default, and send any proof you have (copies) to them to show the full payment made.

Have you tried requesting for an updated Credit Report?
