BT appeared on my Equifax report

An entry has recently appeared on my Equifax report from BT consumer for a default amount of £ 432 default date 27/5/2009.
It states that this was updated on 10/01 2010 but I have never seen this entry before. I checked my file about a month ago and it was not on there.I don't know what this is for although I used to have an account with BT in the past.
I would welcome any advice on how to get this removed.

Well if its yours you can't get it removed assuming its accurate.

First post of call; contact BT.
