Always suyspected little brown but fat envelopes mate, but there was never any real proof.

We could never get the developers on our estate Barretts to do a darned thing, communal gardens overgrown and running wild, railings to the road taken down in direct contravention of the planning permission and sold for scrap, UNTIL a certain Lord Mayor moved in and the mayoral car got scratched on the brambles.

    I can say no more.

    Garlok,

They still are m8 nothing has changed there and Havant council are no better between them both they have wasted many millions.

Look at that spinnaker tower fiasco spent millions trying to get the outside lift sorted and it still do not work as it has a design fault have they taken the developer to court as they must of had a clause written into the contract nope they have said it will never work and have written those costs off instead of getting some of it back.

mind you mate, Portsmouth City Council was always a pain to deal with from our time down there. M.Royd Council could have been a better word.

I expect as the council instructed Joanna's to be demolished today under guidance of the fire service due to it being unsafe he will now submit another planning application for the whole site.

He can now have the number of luxury homes he was seeking with affordable too and has saved quite a few pounds in demolition costs as the fire did most of it for him.

I hope the fire service send him a bill, however no doubt this will go down as an electrical fault or something.

    Garlok,

That is right and he had planning permission to build luxury homes on the contract condition that 30% was affordable housing he tried to appeal this and that was refused.

This planning application approval did not include the Joanna's part of site although he does own it.

As for the fraud and tax evasion at PFC that is still ongoing and I believe he is due back in court soon.

By the way Pompey, OH has just found it on the net "Joanna's" is owned by Harry Redknap. I thought he was away for fraud or tax evasion or something for the time he was PFC's manager?

mind you has a house in Sandbanks. Why don't they seize their assets like drug dealers?

    Good idea Handy,

But I don't think our illustrious leaders would have the savvy do you? They could increase its value converting it, its probably what our little yellow friends want it for anyway.

"well at least the carpets will be dry now!"
    Garlok,

With the vast amount of alcohol spilt on those carpets over the years it is hardly surprising it burnt down so quick.

Rumours are now doing the rounds that it was not riot related but an inside job by the developers who have planning permission for the other nightclub site next door where the Ritz used to be.

That would make sense to develop the whole site for housing instead of part of it with an ugly looking empty Joanna's nightclub next door

No mate, I actually wondered if we had sold Ark Royal to the Chinese yet (To be used a a floating Hotel Complete with Migs no doubt).

I thought it could be moored next to the prison ship at Portland.
How many Chavs could it hold do you think?

Australia is a very large island and they stand no nonsense at all over this. They have camps out in the bush and you are incarcerated there with the very bare necessities until such times as your application can be processed. In NSW about 9 months minimum. Only the really genuine ones remain, most go home before process.

As regards the German Jew issue I won't enter that argument with you as I have heard directly in my career about the Depression in Germany pre WWII from someone who was there. There two sides to every coin. However it was a matter of discretion for the gov't of the day and remember Britain was not the attractive place for people to come that it is today.

I believe in ONE law for all, meaningful work for everyone coupled with proper salaries, if you don'y like it here then go away don't try to hi jack what should and could be the most tolerant, stable society in the world with a high standard of health provision and living for everyone who wishes to integrate and becoma part of our community. Its a bit like the Luton Loonies who declared Shariah Law applies. Sorry no way you're out. AND don't bother trying to use OUR laws to stay. Immediate shipment to a country that has Shariah law in place should be our response.

    regards
