100% with you Handy. like I tell our Welsh politicians when they are constantly bemoaning the Welsh fate and its these appalling English people that oppress us that is our problem.
NO NO in great big capital letters. Take a look in the mirror every morning and you are looking at the problem. Most will slink away rather than take on an argument.

Re: Where is Cameron
Did you see Cameron on News at 10.
"some parts of Britain and Broken and other parts are Sick"
I wonder if he has looked in the mirror recently? doesn't he remember his student years.
The Story of the Bullingdon Club reminds me of the difference between the Ordinary Ranks in the Army, Navy or Airforce and their respective Officers.
If you get drunk in the NAFFI and cause trouble there is a wide raft of charges and punishments that get thrown at you.
If you are an Officer and take the Grand Piano out of the Bar and get towed down the Runway at speed while playing that Piano naked (as done by a Group Captain I knew) as long as you include the damage on your mess bill, it's just classed as High Spirits.
Not that this story really has anything to do with the Chavs rampaging on the streets. I only use it as an example of the gulf between the so called top people and the masses.
They are in such a protective bubble they are too removed from the rest of us to give rational leadership.
Who says we live in a classless society.
Regards all, Handy

Re: Where is Cameron
We almost went as I had a job offer during the three day week crap under Heath. We were nigh on bloody starving as relative newlyweds with a young child, me back at college part time paying the fees and the like. It looked good, being white at the time meant being immediately ahead of 19million of the population anyway.
I am so so glad we didn't as we know some the HandyAngle/Dexion crowd that did go and wow some of the tales they can tell.

You saying that reminded me. At one job, we had white South Africans over for training on our products, all were production supervisors. Essential equipment was a loaded shotgun in the factories apparently. The black workers had found that if one them shinnned up a stanchion and shorted out the bus bars, they could all go home early whilst power was restored for next day. Factory standing instructions were that any black worker more than three feet off the ground on a stanchion was to be shot.
Doubt it is allowed today.

It's 20yrs ago since I baled out of SA after living there for 10yrs.
I was there in the pre ANC government era before Mandela came out of nick and took over.
It was a fabulous place to live, but life was and is still cheap, you could get your self mugged and killed just for your cheap Timex watch, and you would never simply hand over your car keys if challenged, they would kill you anyway to avoid leaving any witnesses.
I saw things that I don't ever want to see again, daily necklace killings, hangings, shootings all part of a "normal" day....!
I was licensed to carry a firearm because of a job I did, but I carried it all the time regardless of being on the job or not.

We could never get the developers on our estate Barretts to do a darned thing, communal gardens overgrown and running wild, railings to the road taken down in direct contravention of the planning permission and sold for scrap, UNTIL a certain Lord Mayor moved in and the mayoral car got scratched on the brambles.
I can say no more.

Re: Where is Cameron
Like my Old MD used to say, Half a fire is no good to man nor Insurance company.
I caught him in the warehouse one Christmas (collecting spare parts, Handy was on call as usual) he was pounding the hell out of a water pipe to claim flood damage (caused by freezing) on a pallet load of scrap electrodes he was going to claim were new stock.
Same as the copy cat kids, I wonder how many of the unscrupulous will jump at the chance to use the disorder to cover their crimes?
I hope anyone profiteering from the troubles gets named and shamed.
Regards all, Handy.
