I have two old loans with Natwest one started in 2003 and ended in 2004. In 2004 i consolidated this loan with a new one until 2006 then consoildated to a loan with no PPI.

Unfortunately i dont have the paperwork for the loans but know there was PPI. Have bank statements...

Hubby, it appears, did have PPI on his NatWest card. There is a debt outstanding of £2500 or so and it's UE and he hasn't made a payment for several months. PPI would probably amount a few hundred pounds.

This may be useful if you have been told by the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) to pursue the underwriter/insurer.

This may happen for a number of reasons.

The broker may be dissolved (this is in my case)
The broker may not have been regulated as such by the FSA,...

Its a fact there have still been success in reclaiming PPI without having any data on the accounts, but maybe by just having the account number will help, and if you know you have been mis sold PPI.
If it was some years ago, its likely they added PPI anyway, so my advice folks is to go for it....

Small loan from unwelcome finance in 2003. ppi was frontloaded. Usual advice that i couldn't get the loan unless i had their insurance.
Loan was only for £500 over 12 months. Got windfall 5 weeks after taking loan out and asked for early settlement. Was quoted over £950 !!!!

I have an old cc from Barclays that was paid off in 2006. I've just been looking through paperwork & realised I'd been paying out for ppi! that I never realised ;D

Can you claim miss-sell on something that's already been paid off?
