Hi, I have read so much stuff in the last month and although I have learnt loads I am still a bit confused.
My partner has a big pile of relatively small debts - JD Williams Jacamo and all that lot plus Mext and maybe a couple of others. They vary from £100 ish to £1200, I doubt there...

New TSB Basic Account
I needed to open a new basic account for personal reasons this month, but with a trashed credit profile and bad debts to most of the high street names, it was a bit of a search - but I eventually settled on, and was accepted for, the TSB Cash Account with no problems.
The TSB is a "new"...

Hi guys. I really hope someone on here has some advice as im not sure what to do.
When I was a student I shared a flat with a couple of friends and we had our gas supplied from British gas. This was from 17/02/2007 to 01/07/2008 when I moved house and closed the account.

Could I possibly have some advice with a default notice received?
Hi people, I was an old member and used to follow a thread on another forum on which NID helped me with some unenforceable agreements. I can't find any logins so i'll start a fresh.
As for this one, it is for a Pitney Bowes Purhase power account.
I was a sole trader and the account...

Account status markers
I'm feeling a bit thick. Is it just me? Does a default ever drop off, or only those that have been subsequently made good, i.e. paid in full?
I have been looking at my Noddle Credit History, I know it is not the best site but it is free. Anyway as I checked through I see that there is...

To add a 200 word note to my credit history or not?
Hi guys,
Before the messy break up with my ex fiancee I had a perfect credit file and never had any problems being accepted for anything.
However things turned nasty financially and although none of the defaults or missed payment accounts were in her name, it still leaves...

Shared Debt
I have recently not been able to make payements to 5 credit cards. (approx 27k debt), one of them has recently given me a CCJ.
filled in all the paperwork, showing my outgoings were way above my income, and the paperwork came back to pay the solicitor handling the case, 1 pound per month. (only...

if we sold and downsized ...
would we get another mortgage with our really bad credit history?
Is it possible as this makes sense in our situation we have a huge 4 bed 2 bath house with 2 people living in it , we could sell this and buy a 2 bed house and it would be cheaper for us and the mortgage would be back on...

When will my default be removed?
I've done a lot of reading but can't quite get my head around when a default on my file will be removed.
I dealt with my debt problems some years ago (thankfully) - the default in question was for a student loan (current) account with the Halifax that I was disputing (bank charges) with...

Coming back to "life" after more than 6 years AWOL
Has anyone done this ?
For long after the 6 year minimum, you've kept your head down, under radar, moved a few times perhaps and have had zero contact with the credit card people.
You know a few went to CCJ but those are way past 6 years as well and strangely, some never bothered...Last edited by River Phoenix; 30 November 2012, 23:07.

Financial Link after divorce!!!
One of my friends got divorced a couple of years ago, but when she checked her credit history yesterday it appears that she still has some old links with her ex husband on a MBNA account( that she can't remember and doesn't seem to be active).
She obviously doesn't want any connection...Last edited by mgfboy; 9 October 2012, 08:30.

Barclaycard - CCA Letter Request - Satisfied?
Hello - was recommended to check this site out.
Whilst I am currently asking Apex/Cabot for a CCA request, I rummaged and remembered that on my Barclaycard I asked one from them in March 2012. I forgot totally about it and I don't think they've found a signed copy.... just need to check...
