      Ok those are removed and as I had no AV I put MSE back on however it does not show in programs and no icon on taskbar but says it is running.

      Did you want screen print of desktop?

            have you rebooted PC mate?

            does this site thing ONLY happen in FF or on all browsers?

              Internet Explorer aswell and it changes the security settings on I.E and locks restricted sites to high

                hmmm you may be better formatting like you said earlier mate - sometimes quicker longterm......

                The install MSE before any windows updates etc - so its a fresh install (i.e. right after driver/internet connection/wifi install)....

                        Right have now transfered all data I am wanting to keep to a large memory stick, now I know how to format and reinstall etc but is it best to partition the drive so that the win 7 operating system is on a small partition and all data on the large partition ?

                        My hard drive is 120 gb so would a 20gb and 100 gb be ok?

                          Yes mate - do a 50Gb split for 'C' as Win7 can use that quite easy with all other applications (mine is currently 70Gb with all my docs etc on a 'D' partition).....

                              Running sweet now, just racking my brain trying to think if I have forgotten to add any add-ons etc

                              Hard drive was 150 gb btw and not 120 as I thought so split 50/100
