  • Problems with keyboard spacer

    Hi folks.

I appear to be having probs with my keyboard spacer. (space-bar)
I have to press down on it real hard for it to work, and its doing my head in slowing me right down.

    Any ideas please. Thank you.

PC Keyboard or laptop? If PC Keyboard just buy another as they are cheap enough mine was £2 from asda and funny enough it is lasting longer than the microsoft one I had.

If it is a laptop again these can be sourced from various places but not so cheap and requires a bit of know how to fit it.

      Thankyou Pf.

Yes PC desktop. I may try digging out my lappy to go on with tonight, and call into asda tomorrow morning, cheers hun.

I can hear "boing boing" when pressing then releasing the spacebar, so think a new keyboard is a must.

i have found similar problems can be fixed by taking the keyboard apart and cleaning it.

          I even dishwashed one before

Does the boing come from the keyboard or the monitor? If the latter it could be a setting?

LOL its the keyboard the boing is coming from, sounds like the little spring that springs back the space bar is either misaligned or broken.

                    Thankyou folks

The boing is coming from keyboard, as i press down then release after spacing that's when you hear it, so i think it must be a spring.

Popping over to Currys shortly, as they have cheap deals in there too, with a mouse, may as well pick one of them up the same time.

Asda is in the middle of town centre, parking will be a right pain, so Currys it is.Thank you
