    EU Delay/Cancellation Compensation

    This is a bit of EU legislation which actually works, you may need to shout a bit, but it is EU law, just a lot of peeps don't know about it.

    It applies to any delay over 3 hours within Europe

    There's usually a sign in the airport lounge with all this information on..

    But not many people know that....

      I had no idea, probably cos there are so many bloody signs in airports telling you what you can't do that it never dawned that there might be one saying something useful..............

        I'll have to let DD know about this MrsD... she was delayed 4 hours coming back from Ibiza this week.

          as long as it was an internal EU flight and it was the airline's fault, ie not the weather, a war or political unrest, she's good to go.

          £206 approximately

            I'm not sure why she was delayed but I'll check with her when she's home from work.
