          Thank you all xxxx

I know I shouldn't grumble, and understand they are only doing this as it's part of their job, but I feel they have totally taken control of my body.

With having to be careful what to eat for the cholesterol reasons, what I eat to be careful for this matter then it intervenes with the kidney function and what I have to eat for the kidney function affects the potassium.
So am in a vicious circle really, one thing improves but its worsening the other, I am starting to feel like a guinea pig and pin cushion lol!

                  Re: My recent results

                  Am home and happy!

The most recent result of my kidney function has increased to 55GFR, last week it was 51GFR.
So it should be 60GFR +
                  Last May 2012 @ 52GFR
                  November 2012 @ 50FR
                  February 2013 test one @ 51GFR, test 2 two days on @ 55GFR.

They have put it down to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) stage 3a out of 5 stages, but said it's down to high blood pressure for a number of years.

They are happy with cholesterol but to continue to take the pravastatin (it used to be simvastatin) but due to contact cramps they changed it to the other.

Back in May for more bloods, and still to be referred to a kidney specialist which can take some time, but as long as I keep myself hydrated, stay off the chocs, tomatoes, banana's, and drink lots more water than I used to.

I am sure we are just lab rats for drug companies at times.

I am stopping some of mine as they make you feel worse.

I seriously doubt they know what they are doing.

I have only stopped for 2 days and a massive improvement.

However, I have grown another head and 3 arms

All drugs seem to have some side effects

                              Oh dear lol.

Well I hate taking meds, and was hoping to avoid at all costs taking any more.
Been on the one BP med for well over 10 years or more, and since they gave me an addition tab over 2 years ago, it does seem strange that my kidney function was fine before then
Seems strange why they want me to stop that one, and they've not literally told me that was too blame, they have put my blood pressure as a cause to my kidney disease.

So far so good (touch wood(my head) that they replacement statins for the cholesterol have not been a problem up to now, yet I know it's still early days.

                                Yes Di,

My kidney issues started after the second BP medication. It was Lercanidepene they gave me, a calcium channel blocker.

Problem is that that one also helps the mild Angina.
