Yakult or Actimel?
Anyone recommend probiotics drinks? Are they good for you or have you not seen any difference since taking them?

Yakult out of the two did me good with (IBS)...both however did bugger all for cholestorol etc
in the end?? Asda's own version of actimmel (£1. odd for 4) did the best out of em all...lowered my cholestorol etc & stomach felt a little better with them after a whileLast edited by philnicandamy; 11 September 2012, 15:29.Comment

The difference between the two is ACtimel is a yoghurt drink with probiotics... whereas Yakult is a pro biotic shot.
So really actimel just gives you more creamy goodness... Yakult gets right to the point!Comment

I bet your thinking I'm making a joke of this but I'm not.
Cider (Scrumpy to us in the West Country) has long been thought to lower Cholesterol. It has been reported that a spoonful of Cider Vinegar mixed with Honey to sweeten the taste, taken once a day for a couple of months. Will lower your Cholesterol reading by a couple of points.
It's even said taken in moderation it will help the digestive tract. More than a couple of pints a day and it will clean it out faster than Dynorod but I won't go into that.
Needless to say at the weekend I found a local Pub where the Land Lady (a fit old rock chick
) only drinks Cider. She says she has never drunk beer. The cider at £2.10 a pint is served from from a barrel on the bar.
I kid you not if you drink it you can have a dammed good weekend for £6.30
You may need the Yacult afterwards.

Search online for something called ThreeLac. You can also get FiveLac but the point is, its been proven to reduce cholestorol and does a lot more other good stuff for you than any pro biotic.
I would also check out MMS (chlorine dioxide)
All ill say on the matter is, i took it religiously for 3 years, didnt have 1 single cold the whole time.

Course its just marketing. "as part of a calorie controlled diet" springs to mind.
