Dad, today would have been your 70th Birthday.

We will light a candle in your memory and put lovely flowers on your stone.

Wish you were still here, almost 8 months have gone by since we lost you, but we know your still with us in spirit.

We still remember the laughter on your birthday last year, you were saying you were "29" years old LOL.
And will cherish those memories for ever and the happy times we all had as a very close knit family.
You were a right character, everyones friend and loved by all.
Nothing ever got you down, not even when you were in constant pain.
You were so unique and one in a million.

Love and miss you always Dad.

My beloved dad worked hard as a coal miner from a young age, before that despite that his family were farmers and dad worked on his own and other peoples farms from the age of 9, he would come straight from the all boys school and straight to work.

Here in the Wales news today is a story of one of the mines he used to work for.
