    The cuts came as Barclays said it had increased the total amount it paid on staff bonuses last year.
    Sounds about the standard. Pay out massive bonus' and then lay people off!

      Result for the old boys again I see.
      Hmmm ... didn't see Osbourne standing outside Barclays saying what a sad day it is for the unemployed again like he does when a big store takes on 200 workers - all part time I might add saying "what a great day for Britain".
