I was going to take your advice (as always!) and pay for a years redirection of my wifes maiden post (which the acounts relate to , not her new name , ie my surname) and see what developed....

We need to register to pay CTax at the new place but how can we keep off the electorol role?

Nooooo, you most certainly don't!

They are totally separate departments so when you fill in c/tax forms they will ask for previous address, leave blank! However don't apply for c/tax over the phone or its not as easy to avoid the question.

Regardless, they cannot and will not mix info with electoral services; as it would be a breach of data protection so unless you complete the E/R forms that get sent each year (near voting time - July/August); then you'll remain off the E/R until you opt in by completing the forms.....

Don't get down mate, its perfectly normal for this to occur - see the other diaries and you'll see that the process is we argue with the OC --> they dispute our claim --> they sell it to a DCA --> we argue with them --> they send it back to OC --> Back to square one; the whole vicious circle commences again.....

It's the way they operate! You'll hear from a new DCA soon enough! Just ignore this letter.

Just a quick one mate , we received a letter from WESCOT in Hull , saying further to your request please find enclosed copy statements with what looks like every statement since account conception.

It then goes on to say arrangments need to be made direct with them and that they willa ccept installments

It doesnt threaten any sort of action....

Can you advise us what or how to respond with ?

Cheers mate , what date do i put in where it says "on the XX XX XX £ i requested the CCA ...the original date back in the day or a more recent date?

Again , the response from Wescot is that they are putting the BCARD account on hold whilst they investigate our concerns.......probably the third time we have had the exact same letter over the last year and a half

Sorry to bother you again on this one , Wescot who have been dealing with the BARCLYCARD account , have now sent what does look like a signed agreement , minus any terms etc...

A year and a half it took to send us this , we feel a bit deflated now , i have emailed it to your CCA addy as i cant edit my scans (they scan as PDFs)

Can you let us know , when you can , what response is needed ?

Yep, just busy matey - very busy lol. And now I2D has swanned off on jollies leaving me the UE diaries again
