Its a recon (as admitted by them in the letter) - there are no terms nor any linked to the agreement so its

I would send this back: CCA Query - Missing Prescribed Terms

              Halifax Vs Sadtear

Hummm, thought I had a diary running already

Requested CCA from Halifax re 9 year old CC, Halifax replied with an application form claiming it to be the CCA, Niddy reviewed it confirming it was missing T&Cs.

Wrote back to Halifax, informing them it's NOT a CCA as per the requirements, Halifax refuse to acknowledge it's not a CCA, stating end of matter, and that they refuse to enter into further correspondence.

On Saturday, received letter from debt collection stating they've been appointed on behalf of Halifax to collect on account.

                  Re: Halifax Vs Sadtear

I've had a similar experience with Halifax, claiming enforceable, threatening legal action but nothng has happened for over 3 years except they occaisionally send me a statement with no interest added to the alleged debt.

                    Re: Halifax Vs Sadtear

There was me tempting fate , letter received today & now assigned to 1st Credit - "bemused" letter sent as still in dispute with Halifax who despite CCA request & SAR cannot produce an enforceable agreement.

                            Re: Halifax Vs Sadtear

1st Credit have obviously got back in favour with Halipratts, since they dropped them when the got censured by the OFT in 2009 for issuing Stat Demands willy nilly.

OFT imposes requirements on 1st Credit over debt collection practices - The Office of Fair Trading

                            (They still are, nothings changed!)
Loads of people are reporting getting hello letters or a sudden rush of phone calls this week, throughout t'other fora. (Posh word alert )
so they've obviously been to Morrisons and emptied their copper jar into the change machine, to buy a whole bunch of accounts. Maybe buy one, get one free?
